Self Referral

Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.

Minor Eye Conditions Service

The Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) provides assessment and treatment for people with recently occurring minor eye problems. It is an NHS service provided by accredited optometrists (also commonly called opticians).

Barnet and Enfield Talking Therapies

We provide a confidential and free service for anyone who is experiencing problems with their mood, feeling stressed, unhappy and unsatisfied with how their life is going. These difficulties may or may not be linked to ongoing (or past) stressful events and experiences, and quite often resolve on their own. Community Talking Therapies (previously known as IAPT Compliant Counselling)

We offer counselling to adults experiencing common mental health symptoms such as mild to moderate depression and anxiety. You must be over the age of 16 and registered with a GP in the borough of Enfield to be eligible for our service. We are commissioned by NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board- Enfield Borough therefore you can access our service for FREE. If you are not registered with a GP in Enfield, speak to your GP about other local counselling services in your area.
